Ti Hallas
In 1978 Ti co-founded Chinook Theatre which toured schools and communities throughout BC, Alberta, Yukon and the NWT. In 1982 Chinook became the founding company of Canada’s very first Fringe Theatre Festival in Edmonton. During her 10 years with Chinook, Ti was busy as performer, director, playwright, stage-manager, tour-coordinator and General Manager. Her career took her to Ontario where she taught acting and voice at Laurentian University and then taught Drama, Dance and English for the Toronto District School Board. Since her return to her hometown of Winnipeg 6 years ago she taught Drama and English for 3 years with the St James School Board. Most recently she has been "treading the boards" again, and has been a featured performer in AlbeeFest, TremblayFest, and FemFest productions. Ti is happy to be part of Green Kids. She believes very strongly in the Green Kids mandate. She wants to help our youth feel empowered and to be part of a healthier, happier future. "The Earth is our Mother. We must take care of her."
